The Program

Anne Arundel Community College's Pharmacy Technician program provides affordable quality instruction. Combining didactic and practical training, the program helps prepare you for the transition into the pharmacy profession.

PTCB Competencies

  1. Communicate clearly orally and in writing.
  2. Assist the pharmacist in the monitoring of drug therapy.
  3. Use computers to perform pharmacy functions.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  5. Use pharmaceutical and medical term abbreviations and symbols appropriately.
  6. Demonstrate ethical conduct in all activities related to the delivery of pharmacy services.
  7. Completion of the accredited 35-credit hour Pharmacy Technician certificate program results in your eligibility to sit for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination.
