Nebraska Pharmacy Technician Schools

Pharmacy Technician Registration

  1. Applicant Have attained the age of eighteen (18).
  2. High school graduate or be officially recognized by the State Department of Education as possessing the equivalent degree of education.
  3. Have never been convicted of any non alcohol, drug-related misdemeanor or felony.
  4. File an application with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
  5. Pay applicable fee.
  6. Pharmacy technicians must apply for registration within 30 days after being hired by a pharmacy or facility licensed under the Health Care Facility Licensure Act

Pharmacy Technician Training Requirement

Required Written control procedures and guidelines means the document prepared and signed by the pharmacist-in-charge and approved by the Board which specifies the manner in which basic levels of competency of pharmacy technicians employed by the pharmacy are determined, the manner in which supervision is provided, the manner in which the functions of pharmacy technicians are verified, the maximum ratio of pharmacy technicians to one pharmacist used in the pharmacy, and guidelines governing the use of pharmacy technicians and the functions which they may perform.

Pharmacy Technician Renewal Requirement

  • Pharmacy technician registrations will renew biennially and will expire January 1 of odd-numbered years.
